Toyota - looking to the future

On sale in 2012, the Prius Plug-in Hybrid represents a huge leap forward in electric powered cars.
Think green and experience genuine driving pleasure with the newest edition to the hybrid family; the Prius Plug-in Hybrid electric car; our true eco-hero.
The Prius Plug-in delivers low CO2 emissions of 49g/km, fantastic fuel efficiency of 134.5mpg (combined cycle) and you can drive up to 14.3 miles on one battery charge. Doesn't sound very useful? This is where the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid is different. It combines the benefits of a short-range electric car with those of a modern petrol-electric hybrid; ultra-low tail-pipe emissions over a short distance, with the engine and motor working together as a hybrid for longer distance eco-driving.

Toyota Prius+ is Europe's first full hybrid seven-seater. Designed from the ground up, Prius+ provides significant extra space, while retaining all the traditional attributes of Prius such as the lowest fuel consumption of any seven-seater on the market.
With its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2011, Prius+ is a further expansion of the Toyota Prius family, joining Prius and Prius Plug-in Hybrid.
This new vehicle offers three, independent, split/folding second row seats and a 50:50 split/folding third tier. The sleek, bold styling features an extended roofline with an integral, panoramic sunroof, retaining the iconic Prius silhouette and its characteristic aerodynamic qualities. Sharp-edged headlamps and aero-corners feature alongside distinctive rear styling.
The latest generation of Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive® powertrain found in Prius+ includes a lithium-ion battery pack, installed entirely beneath the second row seating, offering no compromise to the seven-seat passenger accommodation or loadspace of the MPV-style interior.
As in the standard Prius, the Prius+ features three 'on-demand' drive modes to increase the capabilities of the full hybrid powertrain, including the EV mode for zero emissions, zero fuel consumption, all-electric driving.
7 Seat Prius+ will be on sale in 2012.

Yaris Hybrid concept, first seen at the Geneva Motor Show 2011, anticipates Toyota's intention to bring Hybrid Synergy Drive to the B segment - Europe's largest - as part of the company's European roll-out of HSD technology.
Yaris Hybrid concept inherits all the clever DNA of the Yaris, offering customers an ingenious combination of small, compact packaging and a spacious, practical interior, while introducing a new, sophisticated exterior design.
Yaris Hybrid concept's sleek, monoform shape is emphasised by the long, sweeping roofline and a single, crisp character line. Short front and rear overhangs and a long wheelbase maximise interior space. Hybrid-specific styling cues include aero corners, integrated rear spoiler, blue LED running lights and striking white pearl paintwork with blue metallic accents.
In addition, solar panels have been applied to the entire roof surface of Yaris Hybrid concept, independently powering the air-conditioning unit for improved full-hybrid fuel economy.
Toyota's proven, Hybrid Synergy Drive technology combines low fuel consumption, emissions and cost of ownership with uniquely relaxed, quiet driving and an all-electric EV mode. In Yaris HSD concept the battery at the heart of HSD is located under the rear passenger seats, with no intrusion into the cargo space. This durable and reliable nickel-metal hybrid battery is designed to last the entire lifetime of the car, and is just one element of an entirely redesigned and repackaged powertrain.
Yaris Hybrid Concept will be on sale in 2012.
