Environmentally friendly production of Nissan vehicles
As natural resources are limited, Nissan’s goal is to improve the standards of the vehicle’s production in order to reduce waste.
Nissan UK and Spain: 90% recycling
Nissan’s plants in the UK and Spain are working to reduce waste through recycling, reuse and recovery activities. As a result of these actions, Nissan has already achieved a more than 90% recycling rate for plants that produce light commercial vehicles and passenger cars.
Renewable energy: UK wind farm
As a part of Nissan’s continuous improvement, the NMUK plant built a wind farm at the plant. The generation of renewable energy cut carbon dioxide emissions at power plants by more than 3,000 tonnes per year.
Efficient, environmental production
During the whole life cycle of a vehicle, Nissan aims to reduce waste and provide quality, safe and environmentally friendly vehicles. In a vehicle’s production phase, Nissan improve production efficiency and consider environmental needs.
Reuse, recycle, recover
Nissan’s objective is to develop easy to recycle vehicles when they come to the end of their useful life.
Nissan focus on the recycling, reusability and recovery of cars in order to save our natural resources, reduce CO2 emissions and minimise waste disposal.
