About Us

The name Beadles comes from our founder John C Beadle, who established the company in Spital Street Dartford at the turn of the last century.

The company was then incorporated in 1915, that is to say it became a limited company trading as Beadles Dartford Limited, and this company still trades today, from our Volkswagen retailer in Princes Road Dartford, some ninety years on.

Having been established since 1915 our roots are steeped in the tradition of providing quality products and customer service. We have grown considerably in recent years both organically and through acquisition.

In the mid 1930’s John’s daughter Nancy, married Reginald Rootes. Rootes was already a successful motor manufacturer and retailer, indeed his name lives on through the Peugeot dealer “Rootes of Maidstone”. In 1969 Beadles acquired premises in Main Road Sidcup operating the Rover franchise. The business then transferred to Sir Reginald and Lady Mary’s son Timothy, who in 1987 sold the business to the company’s senior managers, who founded Beadles Group Limited, and are still very much involved with the business today.

Beadles Group now represents Land Rover, Nissan, Skoda, Toyota and Volkswagen from eleven motor retail centres across Kent and South East London. We employ over 450 staff dedicated to providing exceptional customer service .

Our mission statement is simple; “To continually exceed our customers expectations”
