How?

To give a boost to the car industry during the current downturn, the Government has announced the introduction of a vehicle scrappage scheme.  This entitles selected vehicle owners to obtain a discount on a new car purchase when scrapping their current vehicle.

Who is entitled to this discount?

If your vehicle is over 10 years old and you have owned it for more than twelve months you will qualify for the discount.

When does this scheme begin?

The scheme launches mid-May.

When does this scheme end?

The scheme is available for a limited time only with the Government having set aside £300 million with funding matched by participating manufacturers. The scheme will end by the start of March 2010, or when funding for the scheme has been used up, whichever is soonest. To ensure you don’t miss out, contact Beadles today to arrange a test drive.

Entitlements & Restrictions

Only one discount per vehicle
No restriction between scrapping car & purchasing van or vice versa
Car or Light Commercial Vehicle not exceeding 3.5 tonnes. (N1 class)
Old vehicles must have a current MOT test certificate
